The short version
- Our values are estimates, not appraisals. Don't rely on them alone for big decisions.
- Credit purchases are final. Credits never expire.
- You own your photos. You let us process them to give you a result.
- Don't upload illegal content or try to scrape or overload the service.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and howmuchisitworth. By creating an account or using howmuchisitworth.us you agree to them. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to make purchases where you live.
2. What the service is
We give AI-generated estimates of what items are worth, based on photos you upload and information found on the web. Valuations are estimates for general information only. They are not appraisals, are not prepared under USPAP, and are not financial, tax, legal or insurance advice. We don't inspect or authenticate items and don't guarantee that any item will sell at any price.
3. Accounts
Keep your sign-in secure and your email address current. One person per account.
4. Credits and payments
- One credit is one valuation. New accounts get 1 free credit, once per person. Creating extra accounts to collect free credits may get them removed.
- Credit packs are sold through Stripe at the prices on our pricing page.
- Credit purchases are final and not refundable. A credit is only used when a valuation finishes. If a valuation fails or can't identify anything, you keep the credit.
- If you were charged in error (for example twice, or credits didn't arrive), we'll correct it.
- Credits never expire, have no cash value, and can't be transferred.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and notes you upload. You give us permission to process them, including sending them to our AI provider, to produce your valuation. We may use anonymized valuation results (without your photo or account details) to measure and improve accuracy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- upload illegal content, photos of people, or content you don't have the right to share;
- use the service to price stolen goods;
- scrape, automate or overload the service, or try to get around credit limits;
- resell or republish valuations as a service.
7. Other sites
Results link to web pages we don't control. Marketplace and brand names belong to their owners.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We don't promise that values are accurate or that the service will always be available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including selling an item for less than it was worth. Our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Unused credits on an account closed for breaking these terms are not refunded.
11. Governing law and disputes
